SheSings: A Women in Music Festival
The Women in Music Festival is a day of performances, interest sessions, and participatory workshops celebrating the diversity of Emporia State University students and the power of music as a vehicle for positive social change. This festival will expose students to women as composers, performers, and entrepreneurs. Exposing students to women operating at a high professional level will reverberate in the present and far into the future.
Entering it’s second year, we hope this festival can serve as a catalyst for dialogue, future collaborations, and performances. We hope all attendees will take what they have learned from the festival and continue its mission in their local communities and wherever their travels take them.
Students of all ages and all schools (college/university included) are free! Your school ID will be required at check-in.
The SheSings Conference will be 8:30am - 5:00pm in Beach Music Hall.
